Election Day was November 6th, 2012! I wasnt ready but I was ready. I was sitting in the living room with my mom and little brothers. We were flipping from Fox 13 to CNN. I was getting nervous and so were my brothers. I was on the edge of the couch, I kept closing my eyes and slickly opening them back up and biting my nails. It was a close race though. Thank the lord Obama won!!! Barack Obama: 50% with 303 electoral votes

Mitt Romney: 48% with 206 electoral votes

The race was quicker than I thought and seemed like it was shorter than 2008s race to me. Mitt Romney seemed really confident but if I was running for president, I would be the same way. I stayed up all night just to hear their speeches. Mitt Romneys was good but Barack Obamas was great. Barack Obama seemed even more dedicated to our country that night. This election made history. Barack Obama made history too. Not once¦but twice! I was really excited and so was everybody else around me. The only part of the election I didnt like was after the election was over. I dont get on social networks but from the things I was seeing and hearing on TV and the things my mom told me, nasty comments were said. I dont like that at all. And it wasnt just one race saying these nasty comments.

It was every race. I personally, dont care what color anyone is, let alone our president. If I was able to vote and Barack Obama was white or vice versa, I wouldnt vote for one of them just because of their race. It goes down to who has the best plan for us. So I dont really understand why the comments were being made. Just like my mom, dad, grandma, etc. told me, If its not nice, dont say it and Dont do something to somebody if you dont like it yourself. And it 2012 racism shouldnt exist at all! All of that mess just made me mad but I dont react or respond to ignorance so I just left it alone. Other than that, the election was great 🙂 Obama2012 & Obama2016, forward.
