Dwight D. Eisenhower was born in Texas in 1890 and was the Thirty-Fourth President of the United States of America between 1953 and 1961. During his Army career he served under Generals John J. Pershing, Douglas Macarthur, and Walter Krueger, in 1942 he commanded the joined forces landing in North Africa, in 1944 he was the Highest Commander of the troops which invaded France and was the commander in general in Europe during World War II.

He shared with Truman on American foreign policy and he alleged communism as a huge force struggling for world supremacy and argued that control could not go far enough to stop soviet expansion and therefore a more forceful policy of liberation was needed to free those dominated by communism and his dedication to restrain communism remained which led to the increase of American reliance on a nuclear shield.

However, he deployed the military forces and resisted the use of nuclear weapons in Indochina or in Taiwan and resisted the use of force in the Middle East when the Suez Canal was occupied. He observed that communism was spreading to all over the world and was physically powerful and hard to stop and the only way out was to evaluate the situation and control it. Eisenhower identified communism and freedom as two ideas, two ways of life and as two beliefs in the nature and destiny of mankind. Freedom represents man as a creation of God and communism as an animal creature.

He was fighting against communism because it had cost the nation a fortune and did not want people to continue being lied to and implied that the people whom did not learn from it were followers of Truman and Adlai Stevenson who had applauded when the administration had declared that communist were not very important. He differentiated between his fight against communism from McCarthys as he warned against violent vigilantism and on freedom to be respected first which in turn would ensure that citizens will enjoy their rights.

There was also no chance for privileges as communism dictated and that the Bill of Rights which did not allow for privileges for a group of people would continue to rule as unlike communism it allowed civil liberties. Also, any person or organization who was distributing political literature was to disclose the source of its funds and its membership to ensure that everyone worked for the United States Government and did so as a privilege and not a right, each Federal Government official on all levels was to answer any question on his loyalty and devotion to the country.

This is because he felt that they all had enough of all those who were trying to drive communism and believed that freedom could not do anything and said that future of the United States of America belonged to more courageous men and those who believed that freedom could be strong He inherited the strategy policy of forcefully containing communism while waiting for the political economy policy to collapse because of its internal inefficiencies and added that the means had to be economical which would enable United States to protect the strength of its economy.

To free communism it meant that restricted means would be used to achieve United States aims as long as war would not be provoked. His administration used propaganda and other forms of mental warfare to weaken communist influence which led to violence occasionally.
